Wiki for Human Rights New Mexico is an event that will bring together undergraduate students, introduce them to Wikipedia and the #Wikiforhumanrights campaign, with new Mexico State of the US fraught with various environmental problems including climate challenges that affect water resources among several others.
This year the event will serve as an opportunity to introduce the Wikimedia movement to students and activists to discuss and share ideas on how they can employ Wikipedia to address environmental challenges confronting the state while documenting fact-based content on these issues. New Mexico has no Wikipedia presence, and this serves as an opportunity to get students involved in building a solid community.
