Wikibooks Outreach in Teacher Training Seminar at Odhan, Sirsa

Two interactive presentations on Wikibooks and its educational importance and role of teachers as contributor and user to develop text books under this project, were organized in two different sessions on June 14, 2023 during In service teacher training seminar at Govt Senior Secondary School, Village Odhan, District Sirsa, State Haryana (India) in collaboration with local In service Teacher Training Master Trainers. This event was a part of The Wikipedia Education programme.


Objective

The sole objective was to spread awareness especially among the primary school teachers about Wikibooks as a reliable source of information, in which they can contribute in different ways. It was also intended to encourage volunteer participation in editing Wikibooks.
