Tell us about your proposed project. What will you get achieved with this time?
Describe why you think this project is important, and how the project is different from your normal volunteer contributions.
In this project, I plan to use historical college yearbooks, historical newspapers, journal articles to create and format citations for the entries reflecting the biographies of over 50 Chinese exchange students enrolled in Iowa’s colleges between 1909 and 1927.

Describe how you (and, if applicable, your team)are able to achieve this project. What skills, expertise, and motivation do you have which will enable you to succeed? Currently matriculating as a graduate in the School of Library and Information Science at Univerity of Iowa, I earned my MA degree in history from the same university over 1 year ago. My research interests focus on the history of Chinese and Chinese Americans in Iowa. Two years ago, I obtained the research grant provided by the State Historical Society of Iowa to complete my project on the history of Chinese exchange students in early 20th century Iowa. Amidst the project, I have collected a large number of primary materials, which I could utilize in completing this wikicite project.
