Wikidata for all 2.0

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

The Wikidata For All Project is one of our drives to improve Nigerian contents and increase wikidata's participation in the country. The project focuses on training all interested persons on how to query as well as how to add content on Wikidata.

Background[edit]

Having successfully completed the first project wikidata for all, this is proposed to consolidate on the successes gained and also improve on the shortfalls of the previous project. This project still retains the aims of the first project which is to introduce wikidata and also improve wikidata participation.

The idea of the first project came to us during the 2019 WikiIndaba conference where we realized that the number of Nigerian content on Wikidata is very low and it was mostly primarily because the majority of Wikimedia editors in our community are not familiar with the Wikidata Project. Hence we, the Igbo Wikimedians User Group decided to embark on the project with the aim of increasing Wikidata's participation, Promoting integration between Wikidata and other Wikimedia projects as well as improve Nigerian content on Wikidata.
