- How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?
I attended Wikimania virtually and in-person.
- What did you spend the scholarship funds on?
I spent the scholarship funds on buying internet data bundles, headphones and food
- Takeaways – choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.
- Wikimedians of the Year 2022 - This is my favorite actually. I am very happy to see dedicated people being celebrated. It encouraged me a lot.
- I also attended the Getting Started session on Wiki Loves Monuments - This is a photo competition to contribute media/images of cultural places. I learnt a lot from the session and enjoyed it.
- Digital Security Basics session. I attended this session and learned a lot about the importance of digital security. I have a much better understanding of digital security now, its best practices, and the precautions that I need to take to protect myself online.
- How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?
I met many people online and chatted with them. It was a very engaging and open discussion. I am also privileged to attend the local Wikimania party organized by Hausa Wikimedians UserGroup. There too I met a lot of enthusiastic volunteers and made several connections with people. We also had discussions about several issues regarding Wikipedia and the Wikimedia movement in general.
