Abstract (up to 100 words)

At the CEE Meeting, we are presenting the topic regarding Wikipedia in the Albanian classroom. In 2022, we worked hard on the education program by putting up 3 wikiclubs. In addition, while collaborating with schools and being invited to schools to present the mission and goals of the Wikimedia Movement, we entered a partnership with a High School to develop a new project about Career Education through Wikipedia.

In the meantime, we were working on developing the projects we tried to align our objectives with the schools and the Albanian Curricula Framework. In this context, we are sharing with the audience the roadblocks and challenges we came across that sometimes Wikipedia guidelines and essays and curricula frameworks do not satisfy one another, especially with small wikis.

How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe?

Through this abstract, we are raising some questions and discussing challenges to reflect on the practical combination and alignment among curricula frameworks and Wikipedia.
