The WikiVibrance Project aims to recognize international, regional and national youth days in the movement through the engagement of young Wikimedians and the entire Wikimedia community in events that will contribute to content related to the specific themes of annual celebrations to Wikimedia projects. this is the first time the Moore Wikimedia Community is taking part in this international event in the Wikiverse. As a young community, Moore Wikimedians Community seeks to use this as an opportunity to celebrate young volunteers who are working hard to elevate the Moore Wikipedia from incubator into mainstream wikipedia.

Photo submission should:

  • Be self-taken
    All entries must be original photographs uploaded by their authors. Photos uploaded by anyone else than author (even with permission) are not accepted.
  • Be self-uploaded during the contest period (May2022);
    You are also welcome to submit photos you may have taken in the past. What matters is that photos must be uploaded during the contest period (23rd August – 22nd September, 2022)
  • Be under a free license;
  • Have at least 2Mpx.
  • A participant should have an activated e-mail address via Preferences of their account.

Organizing team[edit]

Moore Wikimedians are a group of volunteers dedicated to promoting Wikimedia projects in the Moore language - one of the 16 Mole-Dagbani languages. The Mole-Dagbani languages are a large group of near mutually intelligible dialects spoken across countries in West Africa. The largest of these languages are Moore (Mòoré); spoken by more than 5 million people in Burkina Faso and One million plus in surrounding countries such as Ghana, Togo, Cote D'voire, Niger, Mali and Benin. The group is open to membership by all interested individuals.
