Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda/Africa Day Campaign 2023

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Welcome to the Africa Day Campaign in Uganda 2023. This is a campaign dedicated to curating and improving the online representation of Africa and in our case, Uganda.

The goal is to bridge the information gap about the continent by creating high-quality content that accurately reflects its culture, heritage, people, and all other relevant information. Without African knowledge and narratives created by Africans, we are prevented from experiencing an accurate representation of our world, our people, our languages, and from being able to contribute to developing this.

To that effect, The African Knowledge Initiative (AKI) in partnership with individuals and user groups across the continent, seeks to leverage on the Wikimedia tools and platforms to breed innovative solutions to bridging the content gap on global digital knowledge networks.
