STRATEGY 2030

What our team is working on

WIKIMOVE

A monthly podcast featuring guests from the movement who are thinking thoughts and doing things that advance Wikimedia Movement Strategy. We talk about growing communities, governance, money, knowledge equity, volunteerism and many more of the interesting controversial topics that drive the change process we are in the middle of.

Wikimedia Summit

We provide the physical and virtual space for affiliates to egt together and jointly figure out how to grow our movement and to make it open for everyone to join, inclusive, diverse and equitable and governed by the people who power it.

Our publications

We publish primary and secondary research on governance, money distribution, participatory decision-making and other areas that are important for reforming our governance and developing a movement charter.

Wikimedia Europe & Friends

We provide a space for European Wikimedians to communicate and collaborate, in the spirit of Recommendation 5, Coordinate Across Stakeholders.

Capacity Exchange

We support the development of the peer matching platform that will enable Wikimedians across the movement to find each other and provide peer consultation and mutual aid.

UNLOCK

The innovation engine - an accelerator program for social and technological innovation towards knowledge equity.

WMDE Strategy Review

in 2023, Wikimedia Germany is updating its multi-year strategy. We support and inform this project so that the strategy aligns with movement strategy and steadies our organization as a driver of change in the movement towards the strategic direction.
