Wikimedia Endowment/Updates/2022-23 Q3 Update

The Wikimedia Endowment Board appointed new At-Large members Alexander M. Farman-Farmaian in Q1 and Lisa Lewin in Q2. We are inspired by their critical and social thoughtfulness, all of which will contribute to the work of the Finance and Governance committees (respectively) and to the mission.

We also extend great thanks to former At-Large board member Niels Christian Nielsen for his service and many contributions over the years, starting with the advisory board that laid the foundation for the Wikimedia Endowment.

In the January 2023 Endowment Board meeting, the Community and Grantmaking Committee proposed to the Wikimedia Endowment Board that documents and Endowment-related information be published going forward. The following documents will be published:

• Annual plan
• Annual audit
• Annual Form 990
• Semi-annual board meeting minutes (once approved)
• Semi-annual Board meeting agendas

Other communications will continue to be shared and updated, including Diff blog posts, Endowment FAQs, and other documents to tell the story of the Endowment.
