This program is designed to help newcomers get started on their journey of contributing to Wikimedia projects. Whether passionate about editing articles, uploading media, or improving the overall content quality, this program will provide you with the necessary guidance and support to navigate the Wikimedia community.
Throughout the program, newbies will receive comprehensive training on the basics of editing, learn about the different Wikimedia projects, and get acquainted with the community norms and best practices. We'll pair you with experienced mentors who will guide Newbies on their learning journey and help newbies connect with other contributors.
By participating in the Wikimedia Rwanda Newbie Onboarding program, Newbies will gain valuable skills, deepen their understanding of Wikimedia projects, and contribute to the collective knowledge of the world. The instructions for the program will be given in Kinyarwanda (and English where neccesary).
