「ウィキメディア・ソーシャル・スイート」は、ウィキメディア・クラウドVPSを含むウィキメディア・ムーブメントで利用可能なさまざまな新興の交流ツールである。

これらのツールの役割は、新型コロナウイルス感染症と対面イベントの中止による重大な緊急性に対応することである。オンライン・ハッカソンなど技術的な努力がウィキメディア・ミートなどのツール開発に大きく寄与し、さらには長年コミュニティーで使用される長期間使用されるツールに加えて、FLOSSプロジェクトなどの採用・導入のポテンシャルがある。

  • ウィキメディア・ミートはJitsi（ビデオ通話アプリ）を使う。

  • Wikimedia Chat（ウィキメディア・チャット）は Mattermost（スレッド型のチャット）を採用、詳細は タスクの追跡を参照

  • Zulip（ツーリップ）はFLOSS-Exchangeによると財団内部で使用すると報告あり（ビデオ会議を BigBlueButton、Jitsi、Zoom 統合によって提供 – 機能を参照）
  • IRCはウィキメディアのさまざまなトピックを扱う多くのチャネルで今も汎用
  • Matrix.orgは、スラックに似た装飾的なチャットで IRC と互換性あり（タスクの追跡を参照）。

• ウィキメディア・プロジェクト開発のためのソーシャルな調整を直接改善する目的を持つものに限る
• Installed on Wikimedia servers or an affiliated chapter (Note: hosting on Wikimedia servers has its own criteria, like being free and open. All tools listed should meet the same criteria so they always remain equally open of host migration)
• Available for general use and not by special permission
