Wikipedian in Residence[edit]

After contacting the director of museums in Tunisia at the National Heritage Institute and presenting the importance of the Wiki Projects for GLAM institutions like museums, he provided a positive answer for the collaboration with Wikimedia Tunisia. Through this collaboration, Wikimedia Tunisia will try to place a Wikimedian in Residence at the National Heritage Institute that covering one or more museums.

Who is filling this role? ː to be selected based on well defined criteria.

Descriptionː the role will require the following tasks:

  • Documenting the museums collections on Commons by adding photos and SDC
  • Documenting the museums collections on Wikidata creating items for mosaics and statues
  • Documenting the museums collections on Wikipedia.
  • Training of the museums staff on Wiki projects and free licence.

Duration of workː 20 hours/week for 6 months

Community manager[edit]

Social medias are very important for Wikimedia affiliates and in order to be more active, we would like to assign the task of animating the different channels to a community manager. Currently Wikimedia Tunisia has more than 13k followers on its official twitter account (verified account) and has also a Facebook page with more than 3k members. Who is filling this role?ː to be selected based on well defined criteria including a proficiency in graphics and a prior wiki experience.

Descriptionː the role will require the following tasks:

  • managing the mailing list
  • designing materials for the communication
  • managing the twitter account in 3 languagesː arabic, french and english
  • managing the facebook page in 3 languagesː arabic, french and english
  • managing the instagram account
  • creating a new account on TikTok
  • managing the Youtube channel

Duration of workː 3 hours/week for 6 months

  • managing activities
  • submitting reports
  • managing Meta pages of Wikimedia Tunisia
