 Larvae of Culex mosquitoes - an image originally published in an Open access journal and later finalist in the Picture of the Year contest 2007. Here, we will collect images and media that originated from Open Access sources or were directly derived from them and have the potential to be featured on Commons, e.g. in the Picture of the Year contest. We also plan to run an "Open Science File of the Week" series aimed at highlighting open scientific content that found reuse on Wikimedia projects. Suggestions on how to organize this, and for a better name, are welcome. |
