The Wikimedians of Tabora is a group of passionate individuals dedicated to improving content on Wikimedia Foundation project websites and promoting free and open access to knowledge. Their mission is to create awareness and increase participation in Wikimedia projects within the Western region of Tanzania.
Objectives
[edit]- Initiate, support, promote, and actively participate in projects of the Wikimedia Foundation, Inc.
- Foster greater awareness and understanding of the Wikimedia projects in the Western part of Tanzania.
- Serve as a central hub for Wikimedians in Tabora, fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with Wikimedia communities and other organizations in Tanzania to advance the goals of the Wikimedia movement and enrich the Wikimedia projects.
- Provide comprehensive training sessions on various Wikimedia projects, empowering individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively.
