Wikipedia Language Project/Privacy statement

This statement describes how we collect, use, and share the information we receive from the Wikipedia Language Project survey participants using the Qualtrics registration form. This form is powered by Qualtrics, which means Qualtrics’ use of your information is governed by their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Purpose of survey

The survey aims to collect your opinions on the relevance of the Ghanaian language Wikipedias. The Wikipedia Language Project is a research-based work focused on assessing the usefulness of Ghanaian language editions of Wikipedia to readers.

What information do we collect?

The survey will collect your responses to the questions asked. The information is not collected on behalf of the WMF, its staff, functionaries or the Wikimedia Community.

Information sharing and disclosure

The results from this survey may be shared publicly in the following manner;

Aggregate data about the defined-response questions will be published on meta.wikimedia.org.

Raw data may be shared with the project team, who need to process this information and are subject to non-disclosure obligations, and with the Wikimedia Foundation, except for the circumstances described below.

We may disclose any collected information when required by law, when we have your permission, and when needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, users, or the general public.

Important information

The raw data will be retained for 180 days after the publication of the survey results. Afterwards, a cleaned dataset will be retained by Wikimedia Ghana User Group indefinitely for use in future Wikipedia Languages Project Survey with a wider scope than this current survey.
