Wikiprograms

I would like to propose a project known as Wikiprograms that would be a collection of free computer programs, both free software (e.g. Celestia) and user-created programs.

• Type of project: collection of free computer programs
• Possible features:
  • ability for logged-in users to upload programs
  • categories for user-created programs and software from external sources
• Problems:
  • vandals can post illegal downloads
  • somewhat confusable with Wikimedia Commons, the project for non-program files
