@Billinghurst: I am sure the sentence is not technically and grammatically incorrect but I found it as a new user difficult to parse. We are not talking about one more set of discussion, there are multiple sets of discussions occuring in additional multiple locations. In fact, if I were to rewrite that sentesce, it would read:

Related discussions also take place on Wikimedia mailing lists (particularly at wikimedia-l and its lower-trafficked equivalent WikimediaAnnounce), as well as at IRC channels on freenode, individual wikis of Wikimedia affiliates, and other locations.
