Translator, We need you!

Dear Geimeris,

You have helped us in previous years with translations and for that we are most grateful. Now we turn towards the 2011/12 fundraiser. It may seem forever away, but work has already begun getting everything ready to go. This year we want to have landing pages covering as many countries in as many languages as possible.

Right now, we want to figure out who is interested in translating for the fundraiser. This year we're hoping to have more of a solidified "core" group of translators that we can count on to have work done by a few key dates, but we'd also welcome help from people who are willing to just help out when they can.

If you would be interested please take a look at this little sign-up survey and fill it out http://survey.wikimedia.org/index.php?sid=13638&newtest=Y&lang=en. With that we can start building a list of people and filling any gaps in the languages we serve.

Sākumlapa - new round of translation

Dear colleague! Please help us for transfer Latvian Main Page (Sākumlapa) to new unified design! Going to Template:Other languages/Template:Main Page and clicking on the relevant red link and translating that. Next step - edit every section with similar way. After finished need replace text in Sākumlapa to transcluding of {{Main Page/bs}} (as in Russian). Thanks in advance ;) --Kaganer 01:09, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in the upcoming WPWP Campaign

Hello Wikipedians,

This is to invite you to join the WPWP Campaign to help improve Wikipedia articles with photos and win prizes. The campaign will run from 1st July 2020 to 31st August 2020.

The campaign primarily aims at using images from Wikimedia Commons on Wikipedia articles that are lacking images. Participants will choose among Wikipedia pages without photo images, then add a suitable file from among the many thousands of photos in the Wikimedia Commons, especially those uploaded from thematic contests (Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore, etc.) over the years.
