Adding Igbo Descriptions on WikiCommons

Adding Igbo Descriptions on WikiCommons Is the second iteration of Wikimedia Awareness in the Ikwerre community. This project is borne out of the need to ensure sustainable knowledge of Wikimedia knowledge and awareness among the members of the Ig Wikimedia Community, Ikwerre.

Objectives

• To promote awareness of The Wikimedia Project in the Ikwerre community.
• To recruit new editors/members to the growing community.
• To train participants on how to contribute to the Wikimedia Commons by translating the descriptions from English to Igbo.
• To equip editors in the Ikwerre community with the skill and ability for the continuous development of Wikimedia projects.
• To ensure sustainability in learning and Wiki-Know-how.
