Affiliations Committee/Resolutions/Recognition Wikimedians of Colorado User Group

Whereas:

1. Recognizing Wikimedia User Groups is the responsibility of the Affiliations Committee;
2. Wikimedians of Colorado User Group has submitted an application for recognition, which has been reviewed by the Affiliations Committee;
3. The scope of the group, which can be found on their meta page, is to "host local meetups, promote Wikipedia at local universities and libraries, and maintain a mailing list for local Wikimedians to communicate" including efforts to:
   • Organize meetups to keep the local community in touch with each other.
   • Organize events to promote Wikipedia to Coloradans, especially at local cultural institutions such as libraries.; and
4. It is the opinion of the Affiliations Committee that the group meets the requirements for Wikimedia User Group status.

Therefore be it resolved that Wikimedians of Colorado User Group is recognized as a Wikimedia User Group for a one-year, renewable period, effective on March 4, 2016.
