Description[edit]
The Funding request will support in commemoration of the African Environment Day through images that focus on Climate change at Karura Forest which is one of the Iconic places that Wangari Maathai fought for its gazettement when private developers wanted to grab the land.
Wikimedia Community User group Kenya will upload the images on Wiki commons and translate the description of the images to Swahili.
Context[edit]
The phot walk will help create awareness about the effects of climate change to the environment and learn about Wangari Maathai contribution towards preservation of the environment. The images will be uploaded on Wiki commons through an edit-a-thon that will be held online. The images will be used to improve climate change articles in Wikipedia
