Abstract (up to 300 words to describe your proposal)
Much has been said about the gender gap on Wikimedia projects and a lot of people are working hard to make sure that gap is narrowed. Many of those same people are also working on the indigenous gap, a knowledge gap that is not acknowledged nearly as much as it should be.

In this presentation, I will talk about this gap and how it affects these communities, what is being done on the Wikimedia projects to try to eliminate it, and what communities can do outside of the Wikimedia projects to help us close it.
What will attendees take away from this session?

If attendees are interested in helping bridge this gap, they will hopefully have gained enough knowledge to do so.
