Discussion[edit]
Central Notice admin comments[edit]
- @Paula Duran (WMCO): Please add the campaign duration, the targeted projects and languages, the target group (anonymous or registered or both). Only with this, I can give further advice on whether or not local projects should be notified. I understand “Latam” as Latin America and will use this list: en:Latin America#Subregions and countries. - @DerHexer Thank you very much. I already add the aditional information you requested. The list of countries I meant by Latam is the one you mention. Thank you very much again. Paula Duran (WMCO) (talk) 15:53, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Paula Duran (WMCO): I've created the campaign and banner (preview of Spanish version). Please check everything, approve it and ping me for activating the campaign. Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 16:09, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- Everything looks ok, just on thing, can Portuguese be added as a priority language for translation?? Paula Duran (WMCO) (talk) 16:25, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- The banner is translated into Portuguese. I'm not sure what you mean. :) Best, —DerHexer (Talk) 00:08, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
- I was a little confused. I thought the banner was only approved in Spanish. Thank you very much. Desempleadx (talk) 20:49, 25 February 2024 (UTC
- Hi @Paula Duran (WMCO): Just a brief note, there is a fundraising campaign in Brazil for part of your campaign (the fundraising campaign starts on the 19th of March) which means that non logged in users will see fundraising banners first as of the 19th of March, and your banners only after they have seen 10 impressions of the fundraising banners. As this is already 3 weeks into your campaign, I hope this will not cause too much disruption. Let me know if you have any questions or I can help with anything. Best, JBrungs (WMF) (talk) 06:44, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the advice. I'll share it with the campaign coordinators if there's any problem, and I'll reach out if I need to move forward or ask something. Thanks again. Paula Duran (WMCO) (talk) 13:29, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @DerHexer thanks for all the support. I was talking with @Paula Duran (WMCO) about making sure that the banner in Portuguese takes people to the Campaign page in Portuguese. Would you be able to help us with that, please? Thanks a lot! Contaminadas (talk) 12:59, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- Last minute changes in the middle of the night are always fun … I hope that it's working now as intended. —DerHexer (Talk) 23:08, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
- We are so very sorry and thankful, @DerHexer. We are a big group of stakeholders behind this campaign learning how to work with bilingualism and different language projects. We truly appreciate your support and patience. Thanks again!! Contaminadas (talk) 08:17, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
