Community Wishlist Survey 2023/Bots and gadgets/Make Navigation Popups & Page Previews work cross-wiki/Proposal

Problem: Page Previews and Navigation Popups are great, but they both only work for links on the local wiki.
Proposed solution: Add a Cross-wiki feature, so that the sister projects can more directly benefit each other, and every MediaWiki installation can get a built-in Wikimedia reference.
Who would benefit: Readers and Editors at all Wikimedia wikis, and potentially at any/all external MediaWiki wikis.
