The 2024 WikiForHumanRights Campaign will feature under a new theme ''The knowledge we need for a sustainable future'' presenting an opportunity to reflect on the work we have done in the past years to identify the knowledge in our context that is critical for the future. This edition is a unique opportunity to join the world in the celebration of the 75 anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But there is so much more that this edition offers.
This information session is for anyone organising or participating from the Africa Region
- Add your voice to topics that is most pressing and relevant for your community
- We want to help you get started with your campaign
- The support infrastructure you could use
- Grant application support
- Capacity building opportunities that could empower you and
- Network of Wikimedia communities that you could collaborate with on building knowledge for a sustainable future

- Create your event meta page using the event registration tool as it will form the pilot for this year.
- Join the Africa Region Telegram for all organizers
Grant Cycle[edit]
Organizers with annual fund can allocate funds for their event. However if you are an organizer who need to apply for rapid grant, kindly take note of the following;
○ You can submit your grant until 1 April thus the Application deadline
○ Review time from 2 April - 7 May
○ Decision announced from 11 May
○ Processing and Disbursement from 12 - 26 May
