These are the definitions of the terms used in this project. This page will be made translatable (not yet).
Archive

Broadcaster

Business
[edit]Any type on for-profit activity.
Creative
[edit]All kinds of professional or non-professional creators, such as artists, designers, musicians, photographers.
Creative Commons chapter
[edit]A registered local group in the Creative Commons Global Network.
Developer or technology professional
[edit]Professional and non-professional developers and technologists.
Educational institution
[edit]An organization providing education at any level.
Executive
[edit]A senior management role in an organization.
Foundation
[edit]An institution established with an endowment, can be charitable.
Funder
[edit]An organization that provides financial support for activities.
Gallery
[edit]In the sense of the G in GLAM, a gallery is a national art museum, but it can also be an art gallery.

[edit]Wikimedia activities where wikimedians work in collaboration with cultural heritage institutions to make their collections accessible in the Wikimedia projects.
Governmental organization
[edit]Public sector institution of any kind.
Library
[edit]A collection of generally books and printed material. The four major types are academic libraries, special libraries, public libraries and national libraries.
Media company
[edit]An organization providing media services of any kind.
