Na Wikipedii se nachází 1,7 milionu životopisů. Ani 20 % z nich není o ženách. Pokud se chce Wikipedie stát sbírkou lidských znalostí, je třeba to změnit. S tak velkým rozdílem mezi pohlavími jsme daleko od dosažení tohoto cíle. Mezinárodní den žen je důležitým okamžikem, při kterém si připomínáme tuto propast mezi ženami a všemi nedostatečně zastoupenými skupinami a usilujeme o její odstranění.
Tato stránka shromažďuje několik akcí, které se konají v den Mezinárodního dne žen (8. března) a Měsíce historie žen v březnu 2021 nebo kolem něj a jehož cílem je přiblížit se k překlenutí rozdílu mezi pohlavími.
