Kadınları Kutlayın!

Vikipedi; 1,7 milyon biyografi barındırmaktadır. Bu biyografik verinin kadınlar ile ilgili bölümü %20'nin bile altında. Vikipedi, cinsiyet ayrımı gözetmeksizin dünyada yaşayan tüm insan bilgisinin toplamı olmak istiyorsa bu oranın değişmesi gerekiyor. Biliyoruz ve görüyoruz ki, cinsiyet ayrımı büyüdükçe bu hedefimize ulaşmaktan uzaklaşıyoruz. Kadına yönelik şiddet artıyor; kadın cinayetleri sıradanlaşıyor ve yasalar yetersiz kalıyor. "8 Mart Dünya Kadınlar Günü" sadece kadınlar ve tüm azınlık gruplar için değil, tüm insanlık için toplumlarda değişik seviyelerde hala var olan cinsiyet ayrımını hatırlatmak, kadın-erkek eşitliğini vurgulamak ve bu eşitsizliği kapatmaya yönelik çabalarımızda dayanışmaya odaklanmak için önemli bir gündür.

Bu sayfa Dünya Kadınlar Gününde (8 Mart) ya da onun civarında veyahut Mart 2021'deki Kadınlar Tarihi Ayı'nda yer alacak ve cinsiyet ayrımını azaltmaya yaklaşmayı hedefleyen bazı etkinlikleri bir araya getiriyor. Every year in the month of March, the Wikimedia movement celebrates the International Women's Day and Month with events set to decrease Wikimedia's Gender Gap.
