Pick Metrics > Important Tips and Tricks

  • 00:00:00 is the beginning of the UTC day (12am)
  • 23:59:59 is the end of the UTC day (11:59:59pm)
  • Namespaces, usernames, and user IDs may vary from project to project; make sure you are getting the data you actually want.
  • Media uploads for WikiCommons can be measured using the "pages created" option and namespace 6, where all files are stored.
  • The Edit metric does not measure the size of an edit, only the frequency of edits (where edit is the “save page” click). You need to use Bytes to measure the size of the edits made.
