What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]
Research, and implement a way to implement Gujarati Calendar on Gu. Wiki. Gujarati Calendar is mathematically precise Sun and Moon Based calendar. It arrives at a Month Name and Day Number based on Solar and Lunar activity. Once developed it can be localised for many other languages's Indian Calendar that follows "VikramSamvat" based year counting system.
What is your solution?[edit]
Proposed solution needs to be researched. Earlier a proposal to allow use of certain functions from PHP has been declined citing security threats. Therefore a new way has to be researched, Identified and subsequently implemented.

Research, and Identify method to implement Gujarati Calendar and subsequently carry out software coding for that.

Activities[edit]
To carry out research about available options for coding of Gujarati calendar on wiki. Earlier a proposal to allow use of certain ready made PHP functions that can be used for such a calculations of Solar and Lunar activity has been declined citing security threats. Therefore a new way has to be researched, Identified and subsequently implemented.
Budget[edit]
The exercise to estimate the budget is in progress. Will sonn update this part.
Community engagement[edit]
Highly technical project. Will involve people from community knowing programming languages like Lua and PHP.
Sustainability[edit]
Once the code-base is ready it won't need grants any more.
Measures of success[edit]
Outcome of the Research weather success or failure will be shared with the community. If outcome of the research says that yes, it can be implemented in Guj. Wiki, then coding part will start. Once coding and subsequent testing is complete, Gujarati wiki and many other Indic calendars that follows "Vikramsamvat" based year counting system will have localized calendar available.
