Counter with better ideas, not by restricting free speech
Common courtesy means that we should always try to be respectful, but if someone posts something you don't like and you perceive it as harassment then you should counter-edit with facts. If you cannot do this then what they were saying was probably true. A website like Wikipedia should not engage in censorship of ideas

Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

There is great danger in when you allow people to determine what is harassment and what is not. This is because they will invariably label things they disagree with as harassment. Very dangerous road to go down. Je Suis Charlie

What is your solution?[edit]

Nothing, if there is false information remove it, if not then it stays the same.

Project goals[edit]

Very little than raising the awareness and respects of free speech.

All forms of speech are covered by free speech including ones that are unpleasant to hear. If the threat of harm is real then that is the police's jurisdiction and not Wikipedia/media's it is not Wikipedia's responsibility to censor its userbase nor is it to shelter it's userbase, solely to accommodate a function available to the masses.

  • I agree, discussions are essential.

The difference between a healthy discussion and harassment is often small. Lcla (talk) 06:03, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
