Experience reward
Create a system of experience reward in which every user get a degree according to the quality of their contribution and the constancy of their participation. Such degree will play a very important role at the moment of any attempt of harassment such as a kind of support by the community based in such degree. There are many communities where degrees guarantee respect: scout movement, universities, etc. Degrees can be created on the same community proposal. If we take an academic degree model, things could be like "beginner, intermediate, advance, associate, bachelor, master, ph..."

Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

Well, it is writing a proposal of how to handle harassment in wikipedia.

What is your solution?[edit]

My proposal would be to create more academic authority over any user, so it can be more protected. I think, if a user can present a degree of authority based on experience and the quality of their contribution, it can play a protective atmosphere in front to any abuser.

Goals[edit]

Get Involved[edit]

About the idea creator[edit]

I am an independent journalist from Colombia based in Cambodia. I am on the first generation of Spanish wikipedians, I have worked intensively to promote km.wikipedia.org and I contribute to Engish wikipedia as well in topics related to Asia and South America.

Participants[edit]

Endorsements[edit]

  • Seems like a solid idea. My only fear is if it somehow scared people from contributing. More likely though it could gamify the contribution process to maybe get people to contribute more. Icco (talk) 03:52, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
