Project idea[edit]

What is the problem you're trying to solve?[edit]

What is your solution?[edit]

Every wikimedia project has its own set of rules, guidelines, and it's own way of dealing with disputes between users, unblock/unban requests.

Every wikimedia project should conform the the same rules and guidelines. And a clear funnel for dealing with all types of disputes should be developed and defined as the singular avenue for dealing with disputes on any wiki project.

Goals[edit]

  • Unify all guidelines and policies to the main Wikimedia site.
  • remove all guidelines and policies from separate projects, redirect to Wikimedia.
  • unify the dispute resolution process to Wikimedia.

Opposition[edit]

  • Oppose Oppose But.. why? You're saying "one size fits all". Is this true? I have my doubts. I don't mind encouraging some uniformity, but let it develop organically as each community sees fit instead of top-down enforcing blanket rules and procedures that may not be ideally suited for the specific type of disputes and harassment that arise on specific Wikimedia websites. --Doveofsymplegades (talk) 08:52, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
