Project idea

What is the problem you're trying to solve?

We want to get already existing volunteers to dedicate more time to Wikimedia projects. We have found that geographical location and availability pose a problem when trying to organize meetups. On the other hand, meetups are a good way to improve peolple involvement in the projects.

What is your solution?

Our solution is organizing regular meetups that are known in advance by the participants. In that way most people are able to make the proper arrangements.
In case of big territories, the community can be split into smaller groups according to location (regional, local).

Project goals

• Improving volunteer participation.
• Establishing a network of informal communication.
