Grants:IdeaLab/Stop It Now! Button
Project idea
[edit]What is the problem you're trying to solve?
[edit]People turn away from harassment quickly. They don't take any action leaving the content to harass an other day.
What is your solution?
[edit]There are several reasons people turn away quickly. One might be because it seems like a lot of bother (and thus exposure) to get the harassment noted. An other could be that people think nothing will come of a complaint because they are not being taken serious. A button might remedy both. It is easy to click on and signifies the importance.
Project goals
[edit]Make a small button in the top left corner of every page. When hovering over it, it expands. It can either be labeled "stop it now!" or more generically "notify". When pressed, it takes the clicker away from the page to a complaint form.
