Part 1: Project and impact

1. Describe the implemented activities and results achieved. Additionally, share which approaches were most effective in supporting you to achieve the results. (required)

Our main aim was to create awareness on Vital Articles and there significance towards growth of Wikipedia. These campaign was organised in Potiskum, Yobe State, Eastern Nigeria. We invited participants from different areas of the region. We invited students from University. Both the online and offline trainings were carried out and a total of 55 students participated in the contest (465 articles were created and 4.6k were edited). The number of pages visited on Hausa Wikipedia were increased during the event (25.5K article views). We are happy with the results of this event and we hope to see more participation in the upcoming events.

we have organised online and in-person trainings. i) The online training was organised to reach out for mare participants who can not attend the in-person training.

ii) The in-person training was organised in the school premises and number of 52 students attended the event. The vision and mission of Wikipedia were introduced to the students. A contest was organised to inspire participants in giving large contributions.

We are happy to say; we have achieved all our objectives.

a) we have created and improved 465+ articles around vital topics b) and via this event, we have increased number of page views by 25.5k, created 465+ articles, improved 4.62k, added 4.19k of references, and uploaded 204 pictures on commons.

We will share results and findings in our Hausa Wikimedians pages on whatsapp and Facebook.
