Part 2: Learning[edit]

4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)

You can recall these learning questions below: Through this project, we wish to achieve the following: a). add women visibility on Wikimedia projects (Wikiquote) by adding quotes of or relating to women and promote them on various social media handles. b). we also want to add number of female editors on WIkimedia and therefore encourage them to be actively involved in Wikimedia activities. c). we also wish to develop Hausa Wikiquote (on Incubator) to be fully approved as a WIkimedia Sister Project. Which since it's creation in July 2023 has only 358 articles with only two major contributors. see from main page d) we last but not the least want to sensitise and improve Women Rights knowledge among youths https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wq/ha/Babban_shafi

We achieved the following via this project a). Added women visibility on Wikimedia projects (Wikiquote) by adding quotes of or relating to women and promote them on various social media handles. b). We've added the number of female editors on Wikimedia projects and therefore getting them engaged in various Wikimedia activities. c). We have added the number of articles and contributors to Hausa Wikiauote on Incubator d). We also via this campaign; amplified the voices of women in Northern Nigeria

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

Positively, I was surprised on how our participants are Happy with this campaign, the enthusiasm they show towards learning and contributing to Wikimedia projects. The love they show to the campaign "Wiki Loves Women - #ShesSaid", the eagerness and zeal to know more about Wikimedia Foundation activities. As they are journalists, they even went ahead and publish a number of articles and aired them on various news papers and social media platforms.

We plan to work with AGILE which is a Federal Government project on girl child education, but we could not achieve this due to some certain delays by the organization. So, we seek out for other women organisations and we receive a positive feedback and organize our activities successfully.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

We have directly shared our campaign flyers and pictures with our Hausa community on Whats app on different occasions. We will also share details on success of our project and share them.
