Les activités mises en œuvre dans le cadre de ce projet ont principalement porté sur la documentation et la valorisation du patrimoine et du folklore des quatre régions de Madagascar (Haute Matsiatra, Diana, Boeny et Analamanga), ainsi que l'organisation de l'assemblée générale de la communauté Wikimédia Madagascar. Plusieurs événements ont été organisés pour encourager la participation des membres de la communauté locale, notamment des ateliers de formation sur l’utilisation des plateformes Wikimedia pour contribuer à la création et à l’amélioration de contenu.

En ce qui concerne les résultats obtenus, nous avons réussi à mobiliser des participants issus de différentes régions, ce qui a permis de créer et d'améliorer un nombre significatif de pages sur Wikipédia et Wikimedia Commons. De plus, le contenu produit reflète la richesse culturelle et le patrimoine local de ces régions, offrant une visibilité accrue à ces aspects souvent sous-représentés.

Parmi les approches les plus efficaces pour atteindre ces résultats, l’engagement communautaire a joué un rôle clé. En travaillant en étroite collaboration avec des acteurs locaux et en organisant des événements de sensibilisation, nous avons réussi à toucher un public diversifié et à encourager la participation active. L’utilisation d’outils numériques comme Wikimedia Commons pour partager des images et des données a également facilité la collecte et la diffusion du patrimoine local. Enfin, les ateliers pratiques ont permis de former de nouveaux éditeurs et d'assurer une rétention plus élevée des contributeurs.
