Part 1: Project and impact
[edit]1. Describe the implemented activities and results achieved. Additionally, share which approaches were most effective in supporting you to achieve the results. (required)
We did several activities in this conference but mainly all were around community training, community discussion and community enrichment. in the event mainly had two types of wikimedians. One group was those wikimedians who have been associated with the Punjabi communities for past years and the other group was their school students and school staff who had a very negligible knowledge of wiki projects and wiki moment. so we divided our schedule into two parts as per the different activities designed for these two groups. Lecture on Wikipedia and Wiki moment a general introduction How to Use Wikipedia in Classroom Photo walk and school photography How to edit on Wikimedia Commons These activities were designed to focus on students because they were new to this movement. So thought just to aware them of it and not teach so many things that they confused. For the level of the school student please find it easier and skill-worthy to the pictures of their notable surroundings and upload them on Commons. We find them interested in this project because they feel and thread when they see their content being helpful on the Internet as particular things whose knowledge is not at much available on Internet/public domain. We also tried to teach school staff how to link those pictures/images with their Wikipedia articles so that they can teach the students in the future. A journal introduction lecture was there just them about the movement, various wiki projects and taught the students that how this volunteer work can be helpful for them in the area of content writing, translation, photography and so on.
On the other side we also get some activities for our experienced editors : Wikisource Training Community meet up in which ongoing issues/matters got discussed.
The whole conference can be said a great initiative to strengthen the community bond and also it's Education programme with SEABA School.

It's was not the first time when we collaborated with this school. Earlier the school administration hired experienced wikimedian to teach about the wiki projects but for some reason it didn't go so long. so organised conference in the school was very crucial task for the community because we eagerly wanted to start education programme in the school again. Impact can be evaluated in the terms of the cooperation received by the school administration and staff. They gave a word to us about a follow-up event in the school and also online/off-line classes on weekend basis for the school students so that the students can be in touch with the experience community community and the knowledge get during this event.

You can recall these learning questions below:
After this conference, we came to know about many things such as the challenges of not being able to engage new people where we thought to change our approach to contacting people and aware them of the Wikimedia Movement. Engage people and sustainable growth was one topic under discussion where we learnt to prepare a long-term plan and increase work with innovative and different ideas.
We also observed that new leadership is needed and required for growth and now the community is bringing new leadership and so on.
5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
All participants arrived at the venue on February 2nd. The day began with an engaging introductory activity, followed by a fun game led by User:Keshuseeker. This game mirrored the dynamics of a Wikipedia Edit Conflict, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with one another in a light-hearted, yet meaningful way. The icebreaker activities successfully broke down barriers, fostering a comfortable and collaborative atmosphere among the attendees. The introductory session lasted for about two hours, setting a positive tone for the rest of the conference.
6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
We have shared the Punjabi Wikimedians Conference updates before the conference and after conducting the conference in South Asia Open community Calls, which have been organised for more than one year. We are also open to sharing our experience with other communities and supporting them to conduct their conference if they need any kind of support from the Punjabi Community.
