Was the project beneficial to the target participants in terms of full satisfaction of the knowledge acquired?

Did the participants contribute contents to Wikipedia and it's sisters' projects ?

Did the project create a sustainable group of Wikimedia editors in Ogbomosho Community?

Did the project create community awareness about Wikimedia projects in Ogbomosho?

Certainly, the project significantly raised awareness through both online and offline flyers. You can find the link to the compiled data in the designated section.

Yes, the project trained more than 30 new editors.

Was the project beneficial to the target participants in terms of full satisfaction of the knowledge acquired?

Indeed, the project proved advantageous as participants made substantial contributions based on their acquired knowledge towards bridging the content gap. You can access the dashboard tracking their contributions through the link provided in the designated section.

Did the participants contribute contents to Wikipedia and it’s sisters’ projects?

Yes, the project contributed to Wikipedia, Wikimedia commons and Wikidata. The link to the dashboard is uploaded above.

Definitely! The project established a sustainable community named Wikimedians in Ogbomosho for ongoing learning, exploring Wikimedia and interaction. The link has also been uploaded above.

5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)

We encountered several unforeseen events during the project planning phase. Some participants faced difficulties creating their Wikipedia accounts due to blocked IP addresses. Additionally, the fuel and cash scarcity coupled with high costs of commodity in Nigeria a few months ago increased resource costs, but the resources were effectively managed and we secured discounts to be able to implement our desired results.

Notably, we were pleased to have a higher number of female and very high percentage of Undergraduate participants.

6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)

The insights and outcomes of the project are disseminated to the Wikimedia Nigeria user group through the distribution of links to the project dashboard. Additionally, the top editors are publicly acknowledged through announcements, highlighting their contributions and achievements during the project which serves as motivation to others. This communication serves to share valuable learnings and celebrate the success of the participants with the wider Wikimedia community in Nigeria. Also, I'm planning to have a podcast where I would discuss the learning and results of the project.
