Part 1: Project and impact
1. Describe the implemented activities and results achieved. Additionally, share which approaches were most effective in supporting you to achieve the results. (required)
The implemented activities were categorized into three parts with the first part being a pre-training awareness campaign within the College which led to reaching out to the reasonable number of the College populace including the staff and the students, posters and flyers distributions on the faculties and departmental notice boards as well as online posts and emails. The second phase comprised the core activity which is the 'edit-a-thon training' where the participants involved were introduced to hands-on-key board practical session which involved account creation sessions for the newly recruited editors followed by introducing them to Wikipedia, Wikidata and Commons. The final phase was when the team led a post-program campaign as a mop-up activity where the identified on-spot needs of the trained editors and the general members of the host community were cleared. This process lead the team in achieveing a great success of creating over 8,000 articles, 5,000+ wikidata contents and more than 200 media files were uploaded on commons

Part 2: Learning
4. In your application, you outlined some learning questions. What did you learn from these learning questions when you implemented your project? How do you hope to use this learnings in the future? You can recall these learning questions below. (required)
You can recall these learning questions below: I let the communities know about this project through phone calls and social media handles. More importantly, the experienced facilitators that would be drawn from Hausa Wikimedia User group would be engaged by chats and calls throughout the life-span of the project for better results.
This project help me understand another reason for engaging experienced editors because unforeseen challenges are likely to occur and when such thing happened, the experienced facilitators involved always come up with a solution to solve that problem. It also help me realize that with guidance and proper implementation of the project, participants can do good to creating as far as thousands articles mot just hundreds.
5. Did anything unexpected or surprising happen when implementing your activities? This can include both positive and negative situations. What did you learn from those experiences? (required)
Yes, heavy rainfalls and floodings covering the areas of some of the facilitators and the location where the institution is located has caused continuous rescheduling of the training and photowalk days. In the end, the situation has forced us to relocate to the second event to another institution in a closeby location where the majority of the participants hails from and that's what bring the success of this project.
6. What is your plan to share your project learnings and results with other community members? If you have already done it, describe how. (required)
I will share this report with the participants and the community members in the Whatsapp group
