9. Are you having any difficulties collecting data to measure your results?

1. The closure of our federal tertiary institution affected the organising of events in many of our tertiary institution and so reduce metric from Wiki Loves events
2. Many of the grantees from the Micro-grant are new bees, we so have issues in reporting .

10. Are you collaborating and sharing learning with Wikimedia affiliates or community members?

Yes

10a. Please describe how you have already shared them and if you would like to do more sharing, and if so how?

We have an active WhatsApp group of 286 members, and we maintain some social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. We inform our community about our work through the highlighted platforms. We have fan clubs in tertiary institutions such as universities and networks in some states and regions of Nigeria, and we inform these communities about our work through their coordinators.

Every month, we design infographics to share our planned activities with our community through the various active channels. This is one thing that works for our community.

For example, see our Twitter and Facebook posts that we used to inform our communities about our activities.
5. Is there anything else you would like to share about how your efforts helped to bring in participants and build content, particularly for underrepresented groups?

Impact of the Naija Office Hour on participants' learning

We want to highlight the impact of the Naija Office Hour on our community. The Naija Office Hour does not target only Wikipedia editors but also interested participants who are not regular contributors to the Wikimedia project. This program has attracted many new members to our community. The October 2022 edition of the office hour has more than 170 registered participants, and 150 participants were recorded, many of which are people who have never contributed to Wikimedia projects. The high number of participants recorded was unprecedented and probably the largest online event organized by Wikimedia affiliates in Africa.

11. Documentation of your work process, story, and impact.

  • Below there is a section to upload files, videos, sound files, images (photos and infographics, e.g. communications materials, blog posts, compelling quotes, social media posts, etc.). This can be anything that would be useful to understand and show your learning and results to date (e.g., training material, dashboards, presentations, communications material, training material, etc).
  • Below is an additional field to type in link URLs.
