Goals[edit]
Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
I strongly believe that we met our goals, even though the project took more time than expected to be concluded due to the covid-19 pandemic. We had several delays but our community-building objectives kept everyone in the group focused throughout the process. Overall, we're very happy with how the project went, particularly the extent to which guest speakers and participating artists were engaged before events (e.g., sharing information on social media, inviting students, family and friends to attend the events, etc.). In addition, the development of a publication that could explain how Wikipedia is becoming a vital source of knowledge for the visual arts sector in Brazil was important to us, given the amount of networks were able to connect in the past two years. We're grateful for this grant that allowed us to organize four Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thons, design, and print a mini publication.

Also, this mini book can work as a New Editor Guide for new Wiki lovers. Most importantly, we acknowledge all Wikimedia Foundations's support and generosity through this grant on this book. Selected themes for NaPupila's ArtandFeminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon were: A Luta das Mulheres (The Women's Fight); Maternagens (Motherhoods), Visibilidade Lesbica (Lesbian Visibility), and Arte e Democracia (Art & Democracy). |

Learning[edit]
Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
What worked well was the production of swags to send to peoples houses after the events. Participants felt captivated by the idea of having something to expect after coming to the events, which upgraded their interest in getting to know more about Wikipedia, therefore, engaging more with editing tools and workshops. I also found incredibly helpful having online resources, such as editing guides short clips on how to use specific tools or on Wikimedia Commons to share with participants. Lastly, online events not only helped to keep everyone safe, it also contribute to the creation of an cheerful online community. Our zoom rooms had always a fun and collegial mood.
- What did not work so well?
I would say that what did not work so well was publicizing the events with three to two weeks prior to each Edit-a-thon. I imagine we could gauge more interest from people by sending earlier invites but we did not have the bandwidth to do so. Certainly, this is something to be considered in upcoming projects.
- What would you do differently next time?
What I found challenging was the plan of organizing 4 edit-a-thons with short periods of time in between them. For instance, in order to make everything work, we had to decide a couple of times between collecting and revising dashboard information or organizing the next event (e.g., invite guests, design adds, advertise on social media, etc.). It felt as an ambitious plan, and next time I'll do different perhaps organizing three in one year or two (one per semester).

Do you have any remaining grant funds?
No we do not have remaining grant funds. In fact, due to the Brazilian (BRL) currency instability in covid-19 times we ended up spending a range of $30 to $40 more.
