Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
The budget was paid to a law firm which is responsible for the incorporation. The fund covers the lawyer fees, incorporation fees, taxes, and other associated costs. Currently, Wikimedia Thailand is waiting to be incorporated as an association according to Thai law. Originally, we planned to use a venue inside a university as official address, which we had waited for eight months for the university to issue an approval letter. However, due to the university’s changes of executives that happened in December 2019, the university has no longer allowed third party organization, Wikimedia Thailand included, to use its location as official address. Organizations and companies that are using the university as their legal address have also been asked to move out to comply with the university’s policies. Wikimedia Thailand has therefore decided (as of 28 January 2020) to use an alternative location as its official address, and proceed with the incorporation as promptly as possible.

The budget was used to pay for the lawyer fees, incorporation fee, taxes, and any other fees associated with the incorporation process.

60,700 THB was paid to cover the finances stated above.

Do you have any remaining grant funds?
Yes, we do. There is a remaining amount of 2,501.10 THB. The amount that we originally received was 63,201.10 THB. The remaining amount will be allocated to Grants:Project/Rapid/WMTH/Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Thailand.
