Monthly updates

Month 1 (May 2021)
[edit]- 1st of May, Virtual call with Daniel, staff advisor ( Wikitongue)
- 2nd of May, Virtial call with Tunde Oladimeji, Producer/Director of programs.
- 4th of May, Virtual call with Daniel, to develop the use of metadata and elicitation protocol for the selected languages.
- 5th of May, Virtual call with other project team, Sodiq, Isaac, and Peter to final project plans.
- 13th of May, Virtual call with other project team members, Sodiq, Isaac, Peter to review the feedback form for the evaluation of the project.
- May 15th- Ongoing, Project team, led by Producer will visit various location where native speakers of the selected dialects reside for video and audio production.
- May 20th- Ongoing, The Post production team starts the editing, mixing of sounds, correction of colors and subtitle of the recorded audio-visuals.
Month 2 (June 2021)
[edit]- May 15th- Ongoing, Project team, led by the Producer/Director will visit the various location where native speakers of the selected dialects reside for video and audio production.
- May 20th- Ongoing, The Post-production team starts the editing, mixing of sounds, correction of colours and subtitle of the recorded audio-visuals.
- 3rd June, conversation with the leaders of the Yoruba Wikimedia affiliate on the expectations of the project team from them for the upcoming edit-a-thon
- 15th June, delivery of the final production of the first 32 audio-visuals of the oral history of the selected dialects in Nigeria by the Post Production team.
- 15th- 20th June, To Upload the final production above on Wikimedia commons and forward it to Wikitongue for upload on US library of Congress and Internet archive.
- 20th June, 1st edit-a-thon of the project.
- 25th June Launch of the Landing page of Grass root Language Documentation project.
Month 3 ( July 2021)
[edit]- 1st-22nd July: 32 non-subtitled+19 (English subtitled)videos were uploaded on commons see link here .
- 2nd - 10th July: We launch request for the translation of video caption and it was translated into 12 languages.
- 1st-22nd July: videos were used on 90 Wikipedia pages across multiple languages see table here.
- 1st- 22nd July: The above mentioned are archived on Wikitongues.org/languages in the next two weeks and will be ingested by Library of Congress during the first week in October.
- 25th July: Submission of the midpoint report.
