Outcome
[edit]- Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?
- Add a link to something new that was created as a result of your participation in this event (for example, you might link to a new tool that you and your co-participants worked on at the Hackathon, or to pages created in a workshop you participated in).
- 1) While attending Wikimania, the new user group WikiWomen was launched and promoted. Within several weeks the user group has over 50 members. WikiWomen User Group 2) A working group to address Harassment on WMF wikis was formed out of a crosswiki group meeting at Wikimania.

[edit]The WikiWomen's lunch was a way to meet other women who are volunteering for Wikimedia Foundation. Ideas for collaboration and contacts occurred at this meet up.
Medical meet up
[edit]While at Wikimania, I attended medical related talks and a meet up, and was able to coordinate future plans with other medical editors around the world. Wiki Project Med Foundation meet up.
Nancy Owens of Cochrane Collaboration, where I'm doing a Wikipedian in Residence, was introduced to medical editors user:CFCF, user:Harej, user:Keilana, user:Netha Hussain, user:Ocaasi, User:Doc James, User:Bluerasberry, among others. Future initiative include Cochrane's participation in Wikipedia Public Health Summit, Wikipedia Symposium at Cochrane Colloquium in Vienna, Women's Health Editing Project, Ann Anderson-Wikipedia Initiative, and Medical School Collaborations in New York State.
FDC orientation
[edit]Participated in the orientation session for new members of Fund Dissemination Committee as a 3 year member who is leaving the committee.
Panel
[edit]Speaker for a panel on Volunteer Engagement in Wikimedia Movement with approximately 20 people in attendance.
Ally Skills Workshop
[edit]Participant in the pre-conference training session, Ally Skills Workshop. Wikimania is a great way to do training sessions at pre-conferences.
