Proposed Participation
[edit]Along with my co-worker Chris Koerner, I plan to present at the Semantic MediaWiki conference. We'll share how our healthcare company, Mercy, has leveraged SMW for internal clinical documentation accessible by all other co-workers. We've organized various types of documentation into different “segments” and created forms and templates to standardize presentation and support consistency. We collaborate with a variety of departments to establish their segments, and then they continue to enter and update their documentation, contacting us for ongoing support. Goal and Expected Impact
[edit]We'll present our material and hopefully inspire other attendees to use MediaWiki in their organizations - even if they are complex and diverse - to enable effective exchange of information, thereby improving efficiency. I'm looking forward to hearing what others are doing with the Semantic MediaWiki technology, in hopes of learning ways to enhance our work. In addition, Mercy has offered to help facilitate a Spring 2015 SMWCon event in St. Louis, so the experience attending and networking at the Berlin conference will be very helpful as we work on the future conference.
