From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Welcome back from Wikimania 2019!

Option 3: New Creation: What was one useful outcome that was created at the event for the Wikimedia movement?

This year I talked extensively with several people about two different projects:

  1. I discussed with several involved people a re-launch of the WikiCite initiative, and hopefully by the end of the year we'll come out with a viable project (with many partners in the librarian community);
  2. I joined the WikiSpore community, in order to define a new way for creating new families of projects within the WMF perimeter.

What I truly desire is, apart from producing some positive impact, to help providing the sense of change also on a project-level for all the Wikimedia community: it's about time for us all to tackle the necessary new steps to enhance existing projects, abandon those that didn't work out, and experiment new ways of creating shared knowledge.

Too many to be recounted here, but it's been great to meet new faces, and see again old ones.

Anything else[edit]

It's been tough, and funny, and tiring, and awesome as always. I love you all.
