Proposed participation

I am an active hactivist promoting Open Source Software in Tirana, Albania and a member of Open Labs Hackerspace. I am an Wikipedia contributor mainly focused on adding geo-location on Wikipedia articles and also adding relations of Wikipedia articles for the places on OpenStreetMap, combining the booth projects. I will host two workshops and also will be part of organizing team of a small wiki-expedition where participants will be moving around Syros to take photos and add geo-location. I would like to get more involved with my contributions on Wikimedia expecially on Wikipedia and Wikidata. At "FOSScamp Syros 2017" I will host two workshop and also will be part of an Wikimedia meetup.

Goal and expected impact

As a result of my workshop the people participating will learn how add geo-location to Wikidata items if they exists and creating new items if there isn't one. To get the coordinates we will use maps from OpenStreetMap an open data project where we will contribute by creating links to Wikipedia articles for the features on the map. The exceptation from the workshop are:

• There will be 10-12 participant on each workshop.
• We will add relation to Wikipedia and Wikidata for 80 objects on OpenStreetMap.
• We will reference almost to 80 items on Wikidata with geo-location.

Budget breakdown

Here is a summary of my expenses to participate on the event. I tried to reduce my costs as much as possible by choosing to travel by bus instead of plane and also sharing accomodation with other participants.

• Travel (round trip with bus from Tirana to Athens and Athens to Tirana) ( http://albatrans.al ) : 50 Euro
• Travel (round trip with ferry from Pireaus to Syros and Syros to Pireaus ) ( https://hellenicseaways.gr/en/ ): 63 Euro
• Accommodation: Euro 15 per night x 7 nights = 105Euro
• Food : Euro 20 per day 7 days=140 Euro

Other instructions

I am a student and do not have financial income to support the participation and travel expenses. I would really appreciate if the request is approved to have advance reimbursment, otherwise I won't be able to join the event.

• She has done a good job adding geolocation information on Albanian Wikipedia and she has a great experience with OSM and that makes me think that the workshops she wants to host will be successful and people will start to contribute more on Wikipedia and its sister projects.
